Malibu’s Luxury Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs

At Avalon Malibu, there is no one-size-fits-all treatment program. Each person who joins our therapeutic community comes to us with a different background, different issues and different needs. Therefore, our drug and alcohol treatment programs are individually designed for each client.

Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs

Non-Medically Supervised Drug and Alcohol Detox Programs

The first step for those who need it will be supervised detoxification.

Before the intensive work of rehabilitation can begin, clients who have been using drugs or alcohol for a long time may need to rid their bodies of the built-up toxins. We use all available methodologies to make certain that the detox process is as comfortable as possible, and that clients feel safe and supported during the transition.

Therapeutic Residential and Intensive Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs

Once the body is cleared of toxins, the therapeutic work of rehab can begin. Group and individual counseling sessions will help clients uncover the deeply hidden causes of their addictions. They will learn coping mechanisms to help them survive stressors without the crutch of self-medicating. Psychological disorders will be addressed, and physical activities will help make the body strong again. We offer both residential and intensive outpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs for individuals to choose from or based off their specific needs.

Therapies might include:

  • Gestalt
  • Psychodrama
  • Art therapy
  • Yoga
  • Massage
  • Acupuncture
  • 12-step groups
  • Non 12-step support groups
  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy
  • Any of a range of other effective therapy approaches

Intensive Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Treatment Programs (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are designed for those who may not be able to afford residential treatment or they don’t necessarily need constant monitoring. These individuals may already have a support system from their family or friends who can help monitor their situation and medications. Individuals must complete a primary treatment program before enrolling in this program. Our IOP programs are also designed for those who need to maintain other responsibilities such as: family, work, etc.

Aftercare Addiction Treatment Programs

Drug and Alcohol Treatment ProgramsTransition and aftercare are equally as important to the recovery process as the rehabilitation experience itself. At Avalon Malibu, we are committed to providing our clients with the support and communication they need to maintain their recovery and prevent relapse.

We hold a completion ceremony to honor the work the client has done, to allow the client to transition into independent living, and to affirm the continued communication and support needed to break the cycle of abuse and addiction. Each of our clients comes to us as a unique individual.

It is our mission to honor and respect that individuality, while bringing a wide range of therapy models into play to find the perfect combination that will bring maximum relief and recovery.
