Hillary Berens, Psy.D., LMFT - Executive Director
Hillary Berens joined the Avalon team in 2013. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Dr. Berens is exceedingly skilled in assessing the problem(s) quickly and assisting clients to decide how to improve their interpersonal relationships. For those struggling with PTSD and anxiety, she excels at resolving the feelings attached to the trauma for symptom relief. Her therapeutic specialties are addiction and anxiety disorders and she believes in brief solution-focused therapy strategies. She has worked in the Malibu Treatment Center setting since 2000.
