Todd Lincoln Richards, CADC-1 - Resident Advocate
Todd grew up in upstate New York and moved to Los Angeles in 1984. He has been sober since 09/30/2010 and considers sobriety to be the most important thing in his life. He is a certified alcohol and drug counselor, and finds working with clients at Avalon to be extremely rewarding.
He has been blessed with a daughter and a son (both teenagers now), and recently re-married. He is also a professional writer with five novels and a collection of short stories to his credit.
Todd has been an avid motorcyclist for most of his life, and rides a Harley through the canyons of the Los Angeles Mountains almost daily and nightly. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their miniature pinscher/rat terrier mutt – “Dio,” who seems to be completely untrainable, and is possibly the laziest dog in Los Angeles.
Todd says, “Sobriety changed my life in so many ways. It unlocked my potential and gave me peace of mind that was sorely lacking. Today, I have a great life, and I’m so incredibly grateful. I consider it an honor to be given the opportunity to assist others in their struggle with alcoholism/addiction and co-occurring disorders.”
