Roxan Malloy - MSW, BS, ACSW - Avalon Integrative Wellness Program Manager IOP & PHP
With more than a decade of experience working in the mental health and addiction field, Roxan has worked as a Recovery Companion, Case Manager, and Director of Transitional Living. She also served as Director of Operations, Tech Manager, and Psych Tech for a premier dual diagnosis treatment center in Southern California. A skilled facilitator, Roxan has supervised workshops on chemical dependency, relapse prevention, crisis management, and neuroscience in recovery. She has received extensive training in both mental health disorders as well as psychopharmacology.
Roxan earned her Masters in Social Work with a concentration on mental health at the University of Southern California (USC). While obtaining her master’s degree, she enrolled in elective courses specifically connected to helping people who suffer from substance use and mental health issues. Roxan also earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
Roxan has worked as a Primary Therapist, as an Associate Social Worker at an Intensive Outpatient Program while providing individual psychotherapy. Roxan incorporates elements of evidence-based practices such as Problem Solving Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Expressive Art with the clients she is working with.
